We built an enclosed screen patio in the back of a home in Panama City, Fl. Like many homes in the area, this patio was rebuilt from Hurricane Michael. After the storm, the previous structure was completely removed and replaced with 4×6 posts and a metal roof. In addition, we framed three walls with wooden slats, added handrails and several openings for screen windows. Last, a wooden door along with seven metal screens were installed. This back patio was built with treated lumber and designed for maximum airflow to withstand the hot, wet summers in Northwest Florida.
